What is reflexology?
Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary touch therapy, based on the idea that the feet can be mapped out in representation of the entire body; organs, systems and structures. The reflexes on the feet are accessed by the hands of the practitioner, stimulating a positive response. Reflexology seeks to relax the body completely, placing energy at a premium allowing the body to at ease which then promotes a return to the homeostasis state.
This wonderful holistic therapy can be enjoyed to maintain harmony and balance, or where there is an obvious imbalance – it endeavours to keep the pathological route clear of disease. Incorporating methods of increased relaxation into our routine, such as reflexology, to reduce stress levels physically and emotionally gives a sense of well-being - allowing us to enjoy life without continuously exhausting our bodies with ever demanding schedules. |

The initial reflexology treatment session may last 1.5 / 2 hours as a medical and lifestyle consultation precedes any treatment. This will include both past and present health conditions, any medications you may take and any other information that helps build a picture to tailor the treatment to your specific needs. Once treatment commences you will be asked to remove shoes and socks – to lie back, relax and enjoy this wonderful treatment.
